The 5 Real Reasons Why You're Not Losing Weight.

You've been counting calories and vigorously working out, but you're just not dropping the weight. Unfortunately there are a lot of dieting myths that only add to the confusion. So what exactly is going on?

Here are the 5 REAL reasons why you've not losing weight.

1.You’re not drinking enough water.

I know, I know, you've heard it plenty of times and never really paid too much attention to this piece of advice as it seemed pretty unimportant.
BUT LISTEN UP: Water is the basis for EVERY chemical reaction that takes place in your body, including the burning of fat. This means, if you do not drink enough water your body CANNOT efficiently burn fat. No matter how many squats you do.
Drinking water also increases the amount of calories you burn by a HUGE 24-30% within 10 minutes of drinking water. This can last at least 60 minutes.

In a 12-week weight loss study, people who drank half a liter (17 oz) of water 30 minutes before meals lost 44% more weight.

Water can also help you to feel more full up, which means you are less likely to over eat.
MY TOP TIP: To burn extra calories with zero effort, drink a glass of ice cold water in the morning. Your body will have to work extra hard to warm the water up to body temperature and this means it will burn extra calories! Remember: Ice water won't replace a healthy diet, but you can burn up to an extra 70 calories a day just from drinking 8 glasses of water.

2. You think you’re eating healthy, but aren’t.

Sorry to break it to you, but chances are, your "healthy diet" isn't as healthy as you may like to think.
Does your diet consist of a huge amount of “Diet foods”? For example, gallons of diet soda, packets of noodles, "fat free" snack bars, "skinny" salad dressing and loaves of low carb white “bread”. This is NOT real food. You’re just feeding an addiction and consuming empty calories. Empty calories do not nourish your body or fill you up, meaning you're constantly looking for you next "fix".
Stay away from so called "diet food" products and start eating REAL whole foods - meaning food that has been processed or refined as little as possible and is free from additives or other artificial substances.

3. You go too wild at the weekend.

Now, I'm a strong believer that there is more to life than losing weight. BUT, if you are serious about your weight loss efforts then you might need to reel it in a bit at the weekends. If lots of alcohol and fast food sounds like your typical weekend, then this will be undoing all of your hard work during the week.
Think about this: The "average" person eats 5 healthy days a week and 2 unhealthy days at the weekend. There are 4 weeks in a month, this means you are eating 8 unhealthy days in a month. Meaning after 4 months you have eaten 1 month entirely bad.

4. You don’t vary your workouts.

How often do you vary your workout routine? If the answer is 'not often', then this may be the reason why you're not losing much weight. Not only can doing the same exercise activities over and over cause boredom to set in – which will make you less motivated and more likely to skip your workout – but it will also diminish the intensity and results of your training. As your body becomes more efficient at a certain activity you will no longer need to work as hard at it, meaning that will burn off fewer calories.

5. Toxins are making you gain stubborn belly fat.

Many people do not realise they are consuming toxins every day. Toxins are found in refined sugar and carbs, alcohol, caffeine and processed foods. They are also present in air fresheners, beauty products and pesticides.
When you carry toxins your body seeks to protect you from that. The older you get; the greater load of toxins you have accumulated. You will reach a point, where your body begins to drive toward fat production as a protective mechanism against toxic accumulations. Now, where to put it? It has to be somewhere safe, where you won’t burn it during every day activity. Welcome, stubborn belly fat.
In order to stop toxins affecting your weight loss efforts it is important to assist the body with the detox process - yes the body does have a natural detoxification process, but it cannot efficiently deal with so many unnatural, man-made substances. My 12 Day Smoothie Slim Detox eBook has been developed to cleanse your body of these fat causing toxins, leading to long term weight loss.
